Its long time we took care of the lawn and couple of weeks took some time to clean the stuff and tilled the top soil and water the plants.. Rose plants showed its appreciation by blooming into full

Sravya is now 5 years old. This time we thought of having the birthday celebrations at Pump it up. Krishna came up with this idea. Even though we liked last year’s “Kids Castle”, we want to try something different.

We chose union city location of “Pump it Up” as its close to us. Krishna as usual did all the shopping needed for birthday. She also chose the theme for the Birthday cake, also she wants Mango flavor. It turned out to be very yummy. We ordered cake at “peacock restaurant” in fremont hub.

For last all Birthdays we did for Sravya in US. we ordered cake from “Aki’s Bakery’ in San Jose. This time we don’t want to bother Chicha’s family in getting the cake

All the kids enjoyed very much the jumpers/slides. They had a merry time.

Thanks to Chicha for lending his iphone 4 to capture those sweet moments. As usual everyone pitched in to get some decent photos.

Trip to India

We made a trip to India. Krishna & sravya went in february. Sravya had real fun and she was looking forward to it when I went to airport to drop. She was asking so many questions and she danced in the airport putting songs on the cell phone.

I went 2 months later as I was stuck with office work and there was release. Its always exciting going to India and visiting the friends/Families.

There will be seperate write-up for all the things we did in India.

Happy Sankranthi

Wish you all a very Happy Sankranthi.

Everytime we put the “Bommala Koluvu” using the cardboard boxes. This time Krishna wanted to do something different. She did some research online and found about the stepper. She went to Home Depot and got the stepper and also wooden planks and also got them cut at 3ft each to place on top of stepper.

Once it is set, it is straight forward to place the planks & stepper together.

Sravya helped her Mom in arranging the “Bommalu”. Krishna also put a Rangoli(Muggu). Chicha’s, Praveen’s & Hari’s families came to see the “Bommala Koluvu”.

Roja bhabhi made a “Samiya kheer”, Padma made “Garelu” & Krishna made Pulihora, curd rice & Tomota chutney.

Kids enjoyed the night very much, dancing, playing with toys & also playing on iphone

Anurag was left out but he enjoyed the WII game, Mario galaxy.

But somehow we did not get time to play the cards.

Happy Bhogi

On the occassion of Bhogi, Praveen’s family invited us for “Bhogi pallu” function at their place.

Since we forgot to take our camera, we shot the video with iphone. Function was good as Kids enjoyed having the little cherry’s falling from their head. Shanthi prepared dinner for all. Krishna prepared “lemon rice, ravva laddu” and Padma brought sweet pongal & Brinjal masala.

Kids enjoyed playing with the toys and among themselves. Since its a work day and we need to go to office next day, we came back early.

Sravya’s talk on phone

Sravya normally doesn’t talk on phone when we are on call with folks back in India. Somehow today when my eldest sister called and she wanted to talk to Sravya or hear her voice. So I gave the phone to her and asked her to talk. She said no then I asked her to tell some stories so that Akkayya can listen to her voice.
